Oncologist
Dr. Alejandra Méndez Golcher is a specialist in Medical Oncology and a founding member of the "Centro Integral de Oncologia" (CIO). She graduated with honors in Medical Oncology from the University of Costa Rica in 2020.
Currently, she serves as a medical oncology specialist at the San Juan de Dios Hospital and the Raúl Blanco Cervantes Hospital.
She is an active member in medical research at the Cancer Research and Management Center (CIMCA).
Her primary areas of interest include breast cancer, digestive system, lung, skin, head, and neck cancers.
Dr. Méndez has published internationally and has completed external rotations in Mexico City and New York.
She is an active member and board member of the Costa Rican Association of Medical Oncologists and an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). For consultations and appointments, she can be contacted at: 4052-2410.
